Adam J. Ondo joined Hilverda McRae after serving as a Staff Attorney for the Honorable Sergio Gutierrez of the Idaho Court of Appeals. Though Adam enjoys appellate work, he decided he needed trial experience to be an effective criminal appeals attorney. Because it was closer to his family, Adam made the move from Boise to Twin Falls to join Hilverda McRae. In addition to criminal and appellate law, Adam has handled numerous IRS matters for clients, both in private practice and also while he was a member of the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic at the Texas Tech University School of Law. While in law school, Adam also had the opportunity to clerk for a federal magistrate judge and serve as an editor on Law Review.

When he is not drafting motions and appearing in front of judges, Adam spends most of his time engaged in activities that somehow involve firearms. In the past, he has competed in Cowboy Action shoots, appraised firearms, and repaired old military surplus rifles. Currently, he has taken up trap shooting. He has also prepared legal presentations for gun store and pawn shop owners, as well as lawyers interested in estate planning and gun trusts, that cover applicable federal and state gun laws. Adam also enjoys hiking and fishing.
